How Long Does the Whole Process Take?

We recommend starting your questionnaire at least 72 hours (three days) before your planned departure. This gives our team plenty of time to review everything carefully, without any rush.

The full process — from completing your questionnaire to receiving your authorisation — typically takes between 24 and 72 hours. However, we always recommend applying as early as possible for complete peace of mind.

Step-by-Step Breakdown

Step 1: Completing Your Questionnaire

About 10–15 minutes

You can take as long as you need — there is no timer and no pressure. If you need to step away, you can save your progress and return later.

Step 2: Confirmation Email

Sent immediately

As soon as you finish your questionnaire, we send you a confirmation email with your unique reference number. This email confirms that we have received your information.

Step 3: Human Review by Our Team

Typically within 24 hours

A real person on our team reads through every answer you provided. They check for accuracy, completeness, spelling, and any details that might cause a delay. If something needs a small correction, they will contact you by email with clear instructions.

Step 4: Official Processing

Usually within 72 hours

After our team has confirmed that everything is accurate, your information is securely sent to the US authorities for official processing. Most authorisations are returned within this timeframe.

💡 The official processing time is set by the US government and is outside our control, but most results come back quickly.

Step 5: Receiving Your Authorisation

Sent to your email

Once the result is received, we send your ESTA authorisation directly to your email address. The email includes your authorisation details in a clear, easy-to-read format, plus a simple guide on what to do at the airport.

What Can Affect Processing Times?

In most cases, the process runs smoothly and within the expected timeframes. However, a few things can occasionally cause a small delay:

  • Incomplete Information: If any answers are missing or unclear, our team will need to contact you for clarification. This is why we encourage you to take your time and double-check everything.
  • High Demand Periods: During busy travel seasons (such as summer holidays or Christmas), official processing times may be slightly longer than usual.
  • Additional Checks: In rare cases, the US authorities may require additional time to process certain applications. If this happens, we will keep you informed every step of the way.
